Gas
Saver Devices
Gas saver devices have come rushing in over the Internet as fuel
prices have continued to climb. According to the EPA, Popular Mechanics,
Consumer Reports and others who have tested gas saver devices say
most simply don't work. And, yet there are a few that do.

Gas Saver
Reduce gasoline consumption and bills by
installing a low cost device.

The gas saver devices that don't work include any kind of magnet
that you attach anywhere on your car. Magnets for fuel lines, exhaust
pipes, fuel injectors are found to offer no savings in gasoline
or diesel or emissions.
Fuel heaters are also devices that don't work for saving gas. It's
been reported that these gas saver devices will indeed provide a
minimal amount of savings under very specific conditions for an
extremely small amount of drivers, but in general, most drivers
should not waste their money on these.
Throttle body spacers are another method that will work only in
a small number of cases and only in very specific circumstances.
In the majority of cases, these are not gas saver devices at all,
just money wasters.
Octane boosting fuel additives that you pour into your gas tank.
Yes, it's true that the octane of your gasoline may be boosted a
bit and this may help the pinging noise in older cars. But, higher
octane, against popular belief, has nothing to do with saving fuel.
If you go with the manufacturers specifications for your car for
octane, you can't go wrong and you won't be wasting your dollars.
Cyclone, hurricane wind machines for the vehicle are not gas saver
devices but rather suck down dollar bills more than anything else.
The people who have tested these gizmos objectively all say the
same thing, which is they don't work.
Now, which gas saver devices will work? Hydrogen
gas savers are on the top of my list of devices that work to
increase mileage and reduce emissions in car, trucks and other vehicles.
Endorsed by the National Hydrogen Association and mentioned as a
viable alternative by the Department of Energy, these devices are
the real deal with it comes to saving gas.
Now what are some more conventional gas saver devices? New spark
plugs, air filter, gas filter, oil change and filter, fuel injector
cleaner and inflating tires to near their maximum specifications
will all help in saving gasoline. Remember, it's important to not
just use one gas saver device but use several since the total is
much greater when used in combination.
